1927-2007

Dr. Snide passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007, at The Ohio State University Medical Center as the result of complications following a heart attack.

During his long career in optometry, he received numerous awards, including:

50 years of loyal service from the American Optometric Association

Providing the highest quality of eye care to the public and giving proof of commitment through office from the Ohio Optometric Association

Professional Optometry Distinguished Service Award from the Ohio Optometric Association

Loyal and Dedicated Service to the Optometric Profession from the American Optometric Association

President of the OSU Alumni and Friends from 1991-1994

Service to the People of Ohio from the Ohio Optometric Association

Charter Member of the Section on Contact Lenses from the American Optometric Association

Distinguished Service Award from the Ohio Optometric Association

Outstanding Service Award from the Ohio Optometric Association

Dr. Snide's contributions to Optics Plus Vision Center will be greatly missed.
